dollar store kid's party glasses with magazine cutouts
I realized it was March 1st just an hour ago and remembered my assemblage project. I quickly made these glasses for my first piece. When I first wanted to start this project a few weeks ago, I headed to the dollar store to buy the bulk of my materials. I thought that would help me tie together all the objects. I plan to use them as a base and find the rest of the stuff around the house. We'll see if it works. This has a cutout on the back of the woman's face and I intended to shine light through the back to create more dimension, but had no batteries for my flashlight. This is a lame start and am sure that I will have many misses, like in my 100 collage project, but I hope it will give me some ideas for future pieces.

I´m happy for you that you can start your assemblage project now (still all the best for your brother – and please excuse my ugly misspellings in my last comment!). I love your glasses – and I´m looking forward to see the next assemblages!
Thank you Sabine! Misspellings or not, your kind and thoughtful comments are always appreciated. :-)
Lovely work - reminds me of some Dadaist works like the Man Ray iron with tacks and Duchamp readymades.
Thanks Michael! I love those objects, especially the work of Meret Oppenheim.
