When I started carrying a small camera with me everywhere, I began to notice all the details that most people miss. I feel sorry for folks who never get out of their cars and enjoy their surroundings.
Yes, carrying a camera sharpens your vision. Although I have my digital which I can shoot at all times, when I use film, it really makes me hyper focus. And I love getting my film developed and not knowing what I am going to see. Sometimes the camera/film has a mind of its own and captures something different than what you intended. That's what makes film so exciting.
